Heading to Orlando, Florida is already an exciting choice but when your travel plans have you headed this way for Halloween, the fun factor is enhanced even further! The following are some of the most inviting things to do in Orlando for Halloween when you’re ready to make the most of some spooky fun!
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Orlando
Time spent at Universal Studios Orlando is a fun experience year-round but when Halloween rolls around, there’s even more to enjoy! On select nights between September 3rd and October 31st, Universal will host its annual Halloween Horror Nights event. This teen and up experience gives visitors a chance to wander through a collection of haunted houses that are designed to thrill and chill! The fun begins when the sun goes down and the haunted houses come to life inspired by some of the most haunting cinematic projects in film history. In its 30th year, Halloween Horror Nights 2021 will include haunted houses themed around Beetlejuice, Universal Monsters, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Haunting of Hill House, The Bride of Frankenstein Lives, Horror in the Heartlands, Legendary Truth, Realm of the Pumpkin, Revenge of the Tooth Fairy, Case Files Unearthed and more!
As you make your way between haunted houses, visitors will be met by nightmarish creatures wandering the street. You can also stop along the way and enjoy some live entertainment amongst the many attractions. Keep your eyes peeled specifically for Jack the Clown who has a way of showing up unannounced during the festivities. This event is not recommended for anyone under the age of 13 and it’s important to note that masks and costumes are prohibited for guests.
For even more Halloween-themed fun and scares during your time in Orlando, be sure to head over to SeaWorld where you can participate in the terrifying fun found at Howl-O-Scream. This event is hosted every night through October 31st and is designed for teen and adult visitors only. During this time, SeaWorld is dotted with strategic scare zones and haunted houses to make your way through if you dare. Guests are invited to enjoy a nighttime roller coaster ride if they want, and the bar is open for business with themed holiday drinks flowing. Live shows are part of the lineup, making this an interactive and fun moment you won’t want to miss if Halloween is very much your thing!
Scream n’ Stream
Enjoy your Halloween adventures in Orlando from the comfort of your car by planning to attend Scream n’ Stream anytime between September 17th and October 21st. This drive-thru haunted attraction is one-of-a-kind and returns for its second year in Orlando in 2021. As you roll through, you’ll find yourself immersed in a world of gore and terror. The event is designed by Patrick Braillard who is credited as the mind and design expert behind Halloween Horror Nights as well. Driving through the event takes about 25 minutes, and this year you’ll be making your way through a secret research compound known as Station 5. Within, you’ll encounter some gruesome and fearsome creatures ranging from zombies to sinister clowns. Passengers are given laser guns to keep enemy creatures at bay while making their way through. This is one of the best things to do in Orlando for Halloween!
