Heading to Orlando is always a thrilling prospect for travelers. Whether you’re someone with a heart for theme parks or you’re looking to explore the city’s vibrant downtown scene, Orlando is packed with opportunities for customized fun and adventure for everyone. Many visitors look forward to Disney’s After Hours events in Orlando and after a three-year hiatus, these highly anticipated events are officially back in 2023! New dates have recently been announced for winter, spring, and summer 2023 much to the delight of Disney enthusiasts from near and far. Epcot and Typhoon Lagoon have been added to the lineup as well as additional dates for Hollywood Studios. Whether you check out one or make the most of them all, experiencing Disney’s After Hours Orlando events is simply something you won’t want to miss.
Disney’s After Hours events can be enjoyed with the purchase of a separate ticket from general park admissions. These tickets are specific for the After Hours events and give those who have purchased entrance the option to enter the park an hour before closing without needing to invest in regular admissions too! Each After Hours event runs approximately 3 hours in total and provides guests with fun, attractions, and snacks to enjoy for the duration. Disney’s After Hours events are often compared to events like Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party but there are a few notable differences. The After Hours events aren’t marked by extra parades and because they kick off after regular park hours, guests can enjoy an event that’s relatively non-crowded.
The beauty of a Disney After Hours event is that ticketholders can enjoy the feeling of having the park to themselves! In 2023, After Hours events will offer guests access to more than 20 attractions and wait times will be minimal as ticket numbers are strategically limited. The event will of course include several tasty snack options that are included in the cost of the ticket and if you head over to stops like Magic Kingdom around 7:00 pm, you can enjoy the fireworks displays in the evenings before the After Hours event even officially starts. Can’t wait to enjoy a Mickey Ice Cream Bar—they’re all-you-can-eat and free during the After Hours events with the purchase of a ticket.
By far, one of the biggest highlights of attending a Disney After Hours event in 2023 will be the many attractions ready and waiting to be enjoyed without the massive lines or crowds to contend with. Rides that are notoriously packed with guests like Rise of the Resistance or the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train will be refreshingly accessible if you land tickets to these After Hours events. In the past, wait times have averaged around 20 minutes and sometimes gone as low as a 5-minute wait! Early entry to the parks without having to purchase a general admission ticket is another perk of the After Hours ticket which gives guests a head start on attractions if they’re looking to check as many as possible off their list. If you’re attending the Magic Kingdome, Epcot or Hollywood Studios After Hours event, you can enter the park at 7:00 pm giving you anywhere from 2.5 to 3 hours of added time on the attractions before the After Hours fun begins. For Disney food enthusiasts, the After Hours event highlight is sure to be the combination of savory and sweet moments available. In addition to the Mickey Ice Cream Bars that are readily available, guests who attend an After Hours event can enjoy free popcorn, water, beverages, and customized event snacks on-site as well.
While After Hours events dates and prices can fluctuate, Magic Kingdom event tickets range from $135 to $159 depending on the date with activities hosted between 10:00 pm and 1:00 am. Hollywood Studio event tickets range from $129 to $149 and Epcot tickets range from $129 to $139. These events also run from 10:00 pm until 1:00 am. After Hours events at H20 Glow at Typhoon Lagoon are running through September from 8:00 pm until 11:00 pm and tickets start at $79. Do keep in mind that if you happen to be an annual pass holder, you might be eligible for a discount on After Hours event tickets.
