Racing through Heroes & Legends is sure to delight as participants set their sights on the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame. The 3K route works out to a 1.86-mile course that also includes a look at the Mercury 7 mural that promises to inspire.
Timing and scoring for the race are chip-determined by the Running Zone and awards are given out in men’s and women’s categories divided by age group. If you happen to be one of the winners, you’ll get to enjoy receiving your award from a veteran NASA astronaut! Between January 1, 2024, and January 18, 2024, registration for adults jumps to $40 for adults and $25 for children 12 and under. If you can’t register before race day, you can still participate in the fun at $45 for adults and $30 for kids. While guests who aren’t running don’t have to pay a registration fee, a $5 United Way donation is encouraged.
